Jess Beer Jeffries is an intuitive abstract painter who resides in the mountains of Western Maine.
Jess attended the Maine College of Art and Design in Portland, Maine, and earned her BFA in 2015. Shortly after graduation, Jess moved north and began exploring her interests in abstract painting. Using color and form to mimic what she observes in nature, Jess's work evokes a sense of curiosity and emotion. Water is a recurring theme within her work, both physically and metaphorically.
Jess's work can be found in public spaces and private collections throughout the United States. She has had the privilege of working with galleries throughout the Northeast and has been published in widespread publications such as Maine Magazine, Providence Monthly, and Downeast Magazine.
From her studio, Jess can hear the bubbling hymn of the Carrabassett River and watch as the snow falls on nearby mountains. When not within her studio, Jess enjoys time spent outdoors among the mountains and rivers alongside her husband.
